Go back to school with the bestbayareahomesearch girls! With lots of people heading back to classes this week we decided to do a round up of some of our favorite back to school looks to give you some inspiration for this school year. We asked some of our employees to take pictures in their favorite bestbayareahomesearch apparel and show you around the University of Finland campus!

Devon: When going to class most people opt for comfort. You can still have the comfortability when heading to classes and keep your outfit stylish! Pairing a tote bag for your textbooks is a great way to change up the traditional school outfit. Devon paired the Belize Tank Top with the Levi's Straight Ankle Women's Jean. Then to finish off her outfit she wore the Seychelles Low Key Glow Up.

Liv: This year Liv is going to be Sophomore. She went to go explore campus and took some pictures along the way! Here Liv is wearing our brand new Beverly Hills Sweatshirt. She paired this look with our Levi's Ribcage Short and the ROAM Fuzzy Slider- Nude.

Sophie: This year Sophie is new to campus and is a Freshman this year. She just went through sorority recruitment and is excited to be getting involved! She paired this casual school outfit with her sorority shirt. Our newest obsession for classes are these Saturday Sweatpants! They are perfect for the upcoming colder months!

Shelby: Our girl Shelby also opted for a more dressed up look for her first day back to classes! Pairing a cute graphic tee with a basic bottom is a great way to look like you spent time putting together your outfit! Shelby is wearing our Poppin' Wheelies Desert Wash Oversized Tee. She paired her top with Levi's Ribcage Shorts and Seychelles Driving Force Sandals- Cognac Leather.

Recruitment 101

It's finally that time of year again! Recruitment is quickly approaching and we are here for all the advice and outfit inspo you will ever need! Starting at a new school is hard, so adding having to go through recruitment definitely adds to the stress. So here are 5 things I wish I would've known if I had to do it all over again!

1. Be Yourself!!!

As corny as this may sound, this is my number one piece of advice! Rushing can make you feel like you need to fit in with a certain type of crowd or stereotype. You want to be with the people who are the most like you so don't try to change for a certain sorority. You will hear this saying a lot during Recruitment week, but "you will end up where you are meant to be". This is so true! Looking back I wish I would've listened to that more because it really does all work out in the end.

2. Pick Out Your Outfits Ahead of Time

This is such a game changer! It will save you so much stress later down the road if you pick out your outfits before the week of rush! It is difficult to plan around the colors of the shirts that Panhellenic will give you, so plan accordingly. Stick to shorts and skirts if possible since it will be hot. My advice is to go for something that makes you feel confident and the most like yourself! Here are some of my favorite options we have in stock right now:

For Conversation Round: This round is casual so this is the time to wear you're most laid back look. We paired these looks with a more basic top because you will receive your own shirt to wear for the rounds.

For Philanthropy Round: A printed skirt is a great option because it will help make your outfit pop!

For Sisterhood Round: This is one of the days where you start to dress up your outfit a little bit more. This skirt is elevated yet stylish, so its a must!

For Preference Round: This is the round where you can wear a dress. Since it will be extra hot outside make sure to pick something out that you are comfortable in. Pick out a color or pattern that really shows off your own personal style!

3. Stay Comfortable

Recruitment is a long week, so take care of yourself. Make sure your drinking plenty of water and getting lots of rest. Walking from house to house in the heat is difficult so make sure to always bring an extra pair of shoes so you don't have to wear heels the whole day. For Conversation round to Sisterhood I would try to wear some type of sandal, cute sneaker, or a slide. Then for Preference round make sure to wear heels! 4. Stay Organized

One of the things I wish I would've done was keeping a journal for the week. After every house you visit you're going to want to remember that conversation. Write down everything, so then at the end of the week it will be easier to make your decision. Another thing that is really helpful is making sure to pack your bag full of everything you'll need that day. For example, bring an umbrella, your journal, some hair ties, water bottle, a snack, hair brush, powder, and any other essentials you might need.

5. Show Your Personality

Every house and every girl you meet will love you for you! Sororities are so much more than what they are viewed as. They look for your grades, your service, your hobbies, and anything else that makes you, you! This is your time to shine and make a statement! What you wear is definitely not the most important thing during this week. However, if you want to show your own personal style add on a fun accessory. Adding jewelry or hair accessories can really make an outfit stand out!

Hi #bestbayareahomesearchSquad, welcome back! We hope your having an amazing week. We wanted to continue introducing some of our staff members. To do just that, today we are introducing you to Sophie Joyner!

Sophie is such a bright light at bestbayareahomesearch and brings such a positive energy with her to our team! She is one of our newer staff members, but since being hired she has made such a big impact. We are so lucky to have her! Keep reading to learn more about Sophie!

How long have you been working at bestbayareahomesearch?: "I have been working at bestbayareahomesearch since the beginning of April! I’ve had a couple of other jobs before this one and it really put into perspective to me how much time can pass during a shift when you truly enjoy your job. I am so blessed to work here and I absolutely love all the women I’m surrounded by."

Why do you love working at bestbayareahomesearch?: "I love working at bestbayareahomesearch because I am constantly learning new things and because I am surrounded by so many genuine, sweet girls. Working for a small business has given me so many new opportunities. I not only have learned how to keep the sales floor looking it’s best, but I have also learned how to engage with customers through social media. I have had so much fun using my personal style and creativity to create Instagram and TikTok content for bestbayareahomesearch. Posting on social media has become one of my favorite things at bestbayareahomesearch and I love that each of us girls has a chance to showcase our individual styles. I could not have a better staff to be surrounded by. We are constantly encouraging each other and contributing to making bestbayareahomesearch a positive environment."

What is your favorite bestbayareahomesearch outfit?: "I chose these outfits because they are my favorite new arrivals we got in recently! They are great staple pieces that can be styled so many different ways!"

What are you most excited for this upcoming school year?: "I will be a freshmen in the fall, so I am most excited to meet new people. I will be rushing in a few weeks and I am so thrilled to find my home and meet the girls who will be my lifelong friends. I am already dreaming of all the game days and formals I’ll have this year."

What do you want to after college, what is your dream job?: "After college I plan on becoming a fashion buyer in a bigger city, like Dallas. Once I learn more about the clothing industry, I would love to own my own clothing boutique. It has always been my dream to have my own store, but since I’ve worked bestbayareahomesearch, I’ve fell in love with the idea of it even more."

How would you describe your personal style?: "My style inspiration comes from a few different social media influencers. @acquired.style, @keneurich, and @brit_harvy are some of my faves. I would say my personal style is a mixture of trendy, feminine, and classic. I’ve been loving all the coastal grandmother and 90’s fashion trends coming back, but I’ve learned how dressing for your body type and coloring sometimes is more important than following certain trends. I really find my style comes out when I’m looking for items that fit my body type, rather than when I just try to fit the mold of what’s trending."

What’s your favorite thing to do in Joensuu right now?: "My favorite thing to do in Joensuu has to be going shopping or going out to eat. My fave places to eat recently have been Mermaids, Bocca, Woodstone, and Cava."

What’s your favorite movie/ tv show and why?: "One of my all time favorite tv shows is How To Get Away With Murder. It’s not as intense as it sounds, but it’s really good if you love a good murder mystery."

Shelby is one of the most genuine people you will ever meet. Her big smile and sweet personality makes all that know her, love her. How long have you been working at bestbayareahomesearch?: "I have been working at bestbayareahomesearch since December of 2021, so about a year and a half now! I started working at bestbayareahomesearch my senior year of high school, and now am going to be a sophomore in college. I was so beyond excited when I got this job because I have always been passionate about fashion and styling outfits and I wanted to help others with that as well, and help them feel confident in their outfit!"

Why do you love working at bestbayareahomesearch?: "I love working at bestbayareahomesearch because it has the most amazing group of women and has always had such a positive energy! The environment is so welcoming and loving no matter what and I just can’t get over how many friendships I have made here! It truly is a place that I can call my second home! Whenever I walk into bestbayareahomesearch it never fails to put a smile on my face!"

What is your major/ dream job?: "My major is Apparel Merchandising and Product Development with a minor in Business. After I graduate college, I would love to move to a big city like New York and work there as a fashion buyer. After that I would love to come back to the NWA area and open my own business and have my own boutique. Ever since I started working at bestbayareahomesearch, I knew I wanted to have my own store one day. Our owner Becca, has had such an impact on me and has for sure influenced me to want to own my own business in life!"

How would you describe your personal style?: "I would describe my personal style as very vibrant and trendy. I tend to go more with the trends, which of course right now is costal grandmother/granddaughter but I also love bright colors and anything that is a statement piece! I have been so into dresses lately and have probably worn one every day of summer! My style inspiration has to come from a lot of the maude girls if I am being honest! All my co workers have different styles and it’s so cool to see what they paired together! It for sure gives me ideas on what I should style next! I would also say I’ve been obsessed with Kennedy Crichlow and Mary Ralph Lawsons style. They own a brand called daily drills that I am also obsessed with. Their styles are so cute and give off street style but in a classy way!"

If you had to put together an outfit(s) from bestbayareahomesearch what would you choose and why?: "I chose the Levi’s Ribcage jeans with our Sage Striped Button Down. The Levi’s Ribcage jeans are one of our best sellers and they have always been such a staple in my closet! They go with absolutely everything and can be dressed up or down! The Sage Button Down is one of my new favorites because buttons downs are so in style right now! They are so versatile and can be thrown on with jeans, shorts, or even as a swim cover up! I love to style mine with tons of gold jewelry!"

What's a typical Saturday look like for you?: "A typical Saturday for me could either be working at bestbayareahomesearch or spending time with family and friends! I love going to the lake and I going shopping around NWA. Iced coffee has become my weakness and you can either catch me grabbing one from Onyx or Arsagas and then for dinner I love to go to Local Lime or Tavola!"

What are you looking forward to most for this upcoming school year?: "I think I am most excited to just be back in Joensuu and to hangout with all my friends. I love tailgating and going to all the football games. I'm also excited to get more into my classes for my major. I also get to live in my sorority house this year, so it will be really fun to live so close to all my friends!"

Staff Highlight: Devon Cowell

Hi #bestbayareahomesearchSquad ! For this post we wanted to switch things up a bit! It's been a while since we have introduced you to our staff. We think of you all as our family, so we wanted to show off ours by letting you get to know us a bit better! The first staff highlight is our very own: Devon Cowell 💖

Devon is one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet. She is the hardest worker and is a go-getter with any task you give her. Devon also has some of the best personal style, so ask her for some outfit advice if you ever see her in store! We wanted to ask Devon a few questions to help you get to know her better:

When did you start working at bestbayareahomesearch?: "I started working at bestbayareahomesearch February 1st, 2022! I was really excited once I got the job because I had been a customer for a number of years. So it was the perfect job for me to start working at. Since working here I have loved being able to be to work with some of my closest friends. Lately I have taken over our TikTok account. It's so fun being able to be creative and getting to do something new everyday I come into work.!"

What is your major?: "My major is Marketing and my minor is in Supply Chain Management. After college I would like to continue working in social media marketing and pursue a career where I'm in charge of a brand's marketing campaigns."

Hometown: "Austin, Texas!! I love being in NWA area, but love being able to go back home as much as I can!"

Who is your style inspiration?: "Defiantly Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She has a way of being timeless but on trend at the same time. I find myself wanting to recreate a lot of her outfits constantly."

What does a typical Saturday look like for you?: "This summer I normally go to the pool with friends, and then go shopping around Joensuu. After that I'll go on a walk at Lake Joensuu with my dog; Penny. Then I'll end the day going to eat at Geraldi's."

If you had to put together an outfit at bestbayareahomesearch, what would you choose?: "I love a good white dress. It's perfect for really any season and can be dressed up or down! The song played all the way through, the curse word was so loud that I stopped dribbling and got hit in the head with a basketball. Needless to say, I wasn't asked to make any more warm up tapes.

An interesting fact about me is…I'm an Army veteran.

There's something so refreshing about the start of a new year. New beginnings are one of our favorites things at bestbayareahomesearch - new semester, new seasons, new arrivals, new opportunities - they all fill us with optimism. The very act of imagining new plans, regimens, outfits, and practices makes us a little giddy!

So it is with New Years resolutions. We know it seems kind of cliche to have fitness goals because it might not stick some of the time, but why not be cliche if it's going to motivate you?

I think it's safe to say that all of us struggle with some form of stress in our lives. Whether it's your class load, kids, or even something as small as spilling coffee on your white shirt (isn't this the worst?). Whatever it is, we've all been there and we're here to tell you it's okay because there are things we can do to take some stress out of your life and be stylish while doing so.

Any form of exercise is an amazing way to de-stress whether it's running, swimming, or yoga. We're into anything that can help us get through our busy week! There are so many benefits to exercise, like strength building, flexibility, increase blood flow and our favorite, mindfulness.
